Atmospheric transport of organic pollutants into mountain environments, and the input and loss of organic chemicals from the waters of mountain lakes. Included pollutants sources are atmospherically deposited pollutants that directly or indirectly introduced into mountain lakes, as well as pollutants from local activities like pastoralism and tourism. Not displayed are degradation processes or topographic and climatic features that can also affect pollutant transport and deposition, as well as their accumulation in lakes. LRAT long-range atmospheric transport; MRAT medium-range atmospheric transport; and SRAT short-range atmospheric transport (e.g., local wildfires)
