Number of cases in which algae/cyanobacteria (green), daphnids (orange) or fish (blue) were the most sensitive taxon for APIs of the respective substance group. The cases depicted in light colours indicate that the difference between most sensitive and second-most sensitive taxon was smaller than 3.2. Cases depicted in grey indicate that the lowest effect concentrations for fish and daphnids were exactly the same. Only APIs for which reliable effect data on all three taxa was available were included in this analysis (n = 183). Antiparasitics and contrast agents were excluded due to the low number of data points for these groups
