The sensitivity ranking of parameters in SWAT (a) and SWAT–MODFLOW (b) during calibration. The composite sensitivity of parameters was calculated based on the Jacobian matrix and the weight matrix after each PEST iteration and generated as an output once the PEST calibration was finished. The composite sensitivity values vary a little among the different iterations. The average value of each parameter among the 10 iterations for calibration is shown in the figure. More details regarding composite parameter sensitivity can be found in [53]. The “a” indicates that the parameter applies to the upstream areas, including subbasins: 4, 5, 7–13, and “b” indicates that the parameter applies to downstream areas, including subbasins 1, 3, 6, 14–19
