Cropping geometry and density analysis of smallholder maize agricultural systems. The maps provide examples of a higher number of smaller fields occurring in close association with larger fields suggesting higher probabilities of gene flow from larger fields to smaller fields. In addition, high cropping density regions suggest the growing of different maize seed varieties with indications of seed exchange and admixture among fielders.
