Occurrence of PSII-inhibitors in surface water (modified from [116]). The surface water of a small river was sampled using Chemcatcher at different locations (sampling points 1–6) and subsequently analysed by a combination of HPTLC and an on-plate assay using fresh water algae for the detection of PSII-inhibition by measuring the quantum yield via imaging pulse-amplitude-modulation (IPAM) [117]
